The poor defensive performances against Sassuolo and Torino now appear to be a thing of the past as Inter’s defence were back at their best in the 1-0 win over Sampdoria at the weekend in the eyes of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter secured their second clean sheet of the league season from five attempts and the game also saw Samir Handanovic back at his best after a few errors in recent weeks. For the first time this season, Handanovic has truly experienced what being the goalkeeper of a big team is like as he had little to do against one of Serie A’s most frightening attacks.
