Sime Vrsaljko could return to the Inter squad for Saturday’s match at home to Cagliari but in all likelihood he is likely to be back for next Tuesday’s Champions League encounter with PSV Eindhoven, this according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Croatian has been sidelined since picking up an injury on international duty earlier this month and was included in last weekend’s match day squad although he played no part and ended up watching the loss to Parma from the stands.

The World Cup runner-up arrived at the Nerazzurri in the summer transfer window on a season long loan from Atletico Madrid with Inter having an option to turn the move permanent. Since arriving at the club, he has made two appearances.

Vrsaljko aside, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti only has one other player currently trying to recover from an injury in the squad in Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.
