Inter goalkeeper, 34-year old Slovenian international Samir Handanovic could finally make his debut in a UEFA Champions League group stage game last Tuesday evening after years of longing whilst wearing the Inter jersey.

It seems that “Handa” could not be happier with his current life at Inter at least according to today’s match program from Inter ahead of tonight’s game against Fiorentina at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district where the Inter keeper is interviewed: “When I hear ‘Pazza Inter’ before the start of each match I am ready to give everything. Our stadium is fascinating, unique, beautiful and full of adrenaline.”

The former Udinese goalkeeper continues with saying that “Inter is my home and I am happy to wear this shirt.”

Inter is currently looking for a third straight win after beating Tottenham in the Champions League and Sampdoria away last Saturday in the Serie A. After the poor start with a lot of criticism against Inter coach Luciano Spalletti, that third win could lower the voices wanting him to leave.
