Inter are among three clubs who are courting Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella according to a report from Tuttosport.

Inter are joined by city rivals Milan and Premier League side Liverpool in chasing the 21-year-old, who the Rossoblu will do well to keep in the upcoming January transfer window. If they manage to resist the offers that are seemingly going to arrive, it is all but certain that the new Italian international will be leaving Sardinia in the summer.

Currently speaking, Barella is valued at around €50 million by Cagliari president Tomasso Giulini but this price has risen in the past year and if he continues to perform it is only going to grow even more.

Barella, who is under contract at Cagliari until 2022, is regarded as one of the top Italian prospects at the moment and as per various reports, he is Inter’s top target to strengthen their midfield for the years to come.
