It is now clear that Inter want to beat the competition to sign Joachim Andersen, the latest centre back revelation at Sampdoria.

Rome based Corriere dello Sport explains the situation in today’s paper: “Yesterday, over lunch, Piero Ausilio met Ferrero’s right hand man and lawyer Romei, as well as Sampdoria’s Sporting Director, Osti, to officially start negotiations for the Danish defender, born in 1996.”

The discussion lasted for an hour and a half, before Ausilio and his guests went to watch Youth game between Inter and Barca. It is said that Juventus and Tottenham have also requested information regarding a deal for Andersen, but Inter believes its good relationship with Samp gives them an advantage, especially after the Skriniar affair. The Slovak grew enormously following his arrival in Milano, which could be an incentive for the young man from Frederiksberg, to join the Nerazzurri over competing clubs.

The deal is set for June, not January and he’s valued between €25-30 million, with Ferrero hoping to start an auction, which Inter hopes to avoid, by offering a player from their Primavera in return such as Colidio, which would also mean that the club would follow the Financial Fair Play rules.
