Sevilla are not exclusively interested in Inter defender Miranda as they look to shore up their back-line according to a report from El Desmarque.

The Rojiblancos primary objective for the defence is Real Valladolid’s Fernando Calero. As per the report, the 23-year-old has an €11 million release clause in his current contract and would represent a more long term move for the club and with a high potential ceiling, the release clause seems a small price to pay for someone for which they can rely on for many years to come.

This is the polar opposite to Miranda who is nearing the end of his career. Now aged 34, the Brazilian international would bring far more experience to the table than Calero but would also be commanding a far bigger salary and perhaps only has a few seasons left at the very top. It is for this reason that Calero is the number one objective of the Andalusian club.
