Having had to settle for remaining on the bench in Saturday’s UEFA Nations League draw with Portugal at San Siro, Roberto Gagliardini should see some action in Italy’s friendly match with the USA tomorrow night according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Inter midfielder is being tipped by the Milan based newspaper to start in the midfield trident alongside Marco Verratti and Nicolo Barella for the friendly that is to be played in at KRC Genk’s Cristal Arena.

There will seemingly be no room for Inter winger Matteo Politano to start the match though. The 25-year-old is set to start on the bench for the second straight game and will be behind Domenico Berrardi and Vincenzo Grifo who will occupy the positions on each wing while Leonardo Pavoletti will play as the striker in the attacking trident in Roberto Mancini’s 4-3-3 system.

Italy vs USA is scheduled for a 20:45 CET kick-off tomorrow night.
