Matias Vecino will be back in full training with his Inter teammates today but there is no guarantee that he will be available for tomorrow night’s match against PSV Eindhoven.

According to Corriere dello Sport, if the Uruguayan midfielder does not make it, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has a few emergency solutions up his sleeve.

Spalletti could opt to deploy Kwadwo Asamoah as a Mezzala alongside Marcelo Brozovic and Borja Valero in the midfield trident. Alternatively, Spalletti could deploy Milan Skriniar as a defensive midfielder instead, a role he regularly plays for the Slovakian national team.

Spalletti may also decide to change the formation from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 where he could use Keita Balde or Lautaro Martinez as the trequartista in behind Inter captain Mauro Icardi.

As for Radja Nainggolan, he completed some tactical work with his teammates yesterday. Inter are keen to not risk him suffering another injury but all will become clearer after today’s training.
