Inter could make a move to strengthen the midfield in the January transfer window to aid Inter manager Luciano Spalletti according to a report from Tuttosport.

Such a transfer would give Inter the possibility to include the player on the list for the Europa League (instead of 3rd goalkeeper Berni, since the list is limited to 20 players), meaning that Spalletti would have the opportunity to rotate more in an area where he, in the UCL, could only count on Valero, Brozovic, Nainggolan and Vecino.

Uruguyan player Nahitan Nandez of Boca Juniors could be a perfect fit especially because he can play every position in the midfield. Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has been monitoring the player for some time now, but Boca did not want the player to go before the Copa Libertadores adventure was over.

Now that the South American season is over, the player is available, but he has a €25 million release clause. Inter wants to offer newly appointed Boca Sporting Director Burdisso the same kind of deal they offered Barcelona for Rafinha last January, that is a loan deal with the right to redemption but it is not certain that Boca Juniors will accept that kind of deal. This is partly because there are a number of other clubs interested in signing the player.
