Keita Balde has a month and a half to prove his worth with Inter set to sit down with his representatives to discuss whether they will take up the option to sign him permanently in mid-February according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter brought the 23-year-old winger in on a season long loan costing €6 million in the summer and have an option to turn the Senegalese’s stay with the club in to a permanent one for a sum of €34 million by the end of May.

If Keita wishes to stay at San Siro, he will have to maintain the form he has shown in the past few weeks which has seen him score four goals in his last six appearances.

A lot could also depend on what Inter intend to do with Ivan Perisic who has not been his usual self this season. Should Inter plan to move the Croatian on either in January or have the intention of doing so in the summer, the chances of Keita Balde staying could well increase as a result.
