According to a report from FCInterNews.it, Sassuolo will not afford Inter of any discount for Matteo Politano’s redemption.

Politano joined Inter back in the Summer transfer window in a loan with redemption option deal with the redemption figure set at €20 million.

Sassuolo want the €20 million in full and will not accept a lesser figure even if Inter are to add some young players in as part of it. The report goes on to state that at this moment it is difficult to imagine that Sassuolo president Giorgio Squinzi will change his mind on the matter.

Since arriving at San Siro, Politano has been among one of Inter’s most consistent performers and almost always runs himself in to the ground for the Nerazzurri cause. In 25 appearances across all competitions, six of which came in the Champions League, the 25-year-old has scored two goals and tallied four assists in just over 1800 minutes of action.
