Andrea Ranocchia is awaiting a call from Inter to hold talks over a new contract with the club according to FCInterNews.it.

The centre back, who is the longest serving player currently at the club, is out of contract in the Summer and has absolutely no doubts he wishes to remain with the club but he does seek some clarity.

Ranocchia has made just one appearance this season and he wishes to know that if he were to stay would he be granted more opportunities as it would make little sense for him to remain otherwise.

The former captain is seen as a really positive influence on the squad and one of the key members of the dressing room despite his lack of playing time.

He has never complained about the lack of playing time and couldn’t help but share his delight after playing in Sunday’s win over Benevento.

The report goes on to stress that there is currently no hurry or offer on the table to be considered. He will not actively push for a renewal either and the next six months could prove decisive for his career at the Nerazzurri amid interest from Bologna and Villarreal.
