River Plate’s Gonzalo Montiel is the latest name to be added to Inter’s growing shortlist of potential Summer signings according to a report from TNT Sports.

The Argentine full back has impressed his compatriot and current Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti with his performances this term.

As per the Argentine news outlet, his representatives have refused to rule out that he could move on from River, where he has a contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.

The 22-year-old who is primarily a right back but also capable of playing on the opposite side and even at centre back has made 17 appearances across all competitions this term but he has been unable to score or assist in just shy of 1500 minutes.

One thing that could complicate a potential move to Inter is the fact he is not in possession of an EU passport which could mean Inter reconsider him due to the fact they would need to use up one of their two non-EU registration spots for him.
