There will be at least 75,000 fans in attendance this weekend as Inter take on arch-rivals Juventus at San Siro according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Saturday’s match will be the eight time this season where Inter will have an attendance of over 60,000 at home and the Juventus attendance will take the average attendance to 61,200.

With two home games still to go after the Bianconeri visit, Inter are well on course to having a seasonal attendance equalling over one million. Had Inter not had to play behind closed doors, they would have already surpassed one million but Saturday’s attendance will take Inter’s total attendance to around 980,000.

The report goes on to state that Saturday’s attendance should come as no real surprise due to the recent study produced by Statista on percentage of fans in each European country.

Juventus are the most popular team in Italy with 39% supporting them whilst 19% of the Italian population are fans of Inter.
