Inter’s Slovakian international central defender Milan Skriniar, believes that under the reign of new coach Antonio Conte, the Nerazzurri can now start winning titles, he told Slovakian media outlet Sport.sk.

Skriniar, who is currently preparing for two international fixtures against Jordan and Azerbaijan with Slovakia, told Sport that although he was happy that the Nerazzurri managed to qualify for the Champions League, it is time to raise their ambitions.

“We managed to qualify for the Champions League, which is a great thing, but the finish to the Serie A was very hard. Luckily we managed to finish 4th and things went well, but our final position in the league could have been better. Unfortunately, just like last year, we were not able to avoid a crisis and we lost points.”

“I am yet to personally meet him [Antonio Conte], because when they unveiled him as the new coach, us players were no longer in Italy. With the arrival of a new coach, new expectations and challenges arrive as well. He and Inter can win a title.”
