Inter have completed the signing of Sochaux midfielder and France under-17 captain Lucien Agoume for €4.5 million, according to Tuttosport.

Agoume will officially join the Nerazzurri on 1 July and sign a three-year contract, the longest deal a player aged under 18 can legally sign.

Inter faced late competition from Barcelona, Manchester City and Newcastle but secured the deal with Sochaux without having to raise their offer at the eleventh hour.

Agoume will take part in preseason training under new head coach Antonio Conte before the club decide where best for him to spend the 2019-20 campaign.

The midfielder made 15 appearances for Sochaux in Ligue 2 last year as they secured a 16th-place finish in France’s second tier.

He also has 11 appearances for France’s under-17s, though, starting all five matches as Les Bleus reached the semi-finals of this summer’s European Championships.

France were eliminated by Italy in the last four after defeating Czech Republic in the quarter-finals.
