Andrei Radu has admitted his performances last season took him by surprise and that he is hoping to remain at Genoa for another season.
As per various reports, Inter are keen to activate their buyback option on him this Summer and some reports have suggested that Inter would be willing to loan him back to the Grifone.
“It gives me great satisfaction to be called up to Romania’s senior national team. I did not expect to have such an important season but I am really happy,” the shot-stopper told TuttoMercatoWeb,
“There was a lot of suffering and tension and Genoa but I am happy that we managed to survive. We only achieved this on the last day but the most important thing was that we succeeded.
“On a personal level, I grew a lot both physically and mentally. I worked hard and the results were there to be seen.
He concluded: “I would like to stay at Genoa for another year as I am sure that I will be able to grow much more.”
