Inter’s pursuit of Aleksandar Kolarov is destined to end in failure because Roma will want too much for the left-back, according to Tuttosport.

Antonio Conte is thought to be an admirer of the Serbian, who scored nine goals for the Giallorossi during the 2018-19 season.

Inter would only be genuinely interested in picking up Kolarov if he came almost for free, though, with the 33-year-old about to enter the final year of his contract.

“It’s unlikely Roma will let him go for almost nothing,” Tuttosport reported this morning.

Kolarov has made 84 appearances for the Serbian national team since making his senior debut in May 2008, scoring 11 goals.

The defender grabbed the winning goal in their opening match at last summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia, scoring a free-kick to secure a 1-0 win over Costa Rica.

Serbia were ultimately eliminated at the group stage after losing both of their other matches against Switzerland and Brazil.
