Despite their best and continued efforts, Roma will be unable to convince Edin Dzeko to remain with the club with his mind already made up about a move to Inter according to a report from Tuttosport.

The veteran Bosnian striker is in search of a new challenge after a few years in the Giallorossi shirt and only wants Inter, who have been in talks over him with his employers for some time now.

Roma have slapped a €20 million price tag on his head although there have been a few reports that suggest even that might not be enough.

Inter initially only wanted to spend between €10-12 million on him due to his expiring contract status but are believed to have most recently offered €15 million and are hopeful of not having to go any higher.

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is understood to have grown fond over Dzeko during the course of pre-season and has had words with him about sticking around as have some teammates.

Inter want to continue to please manager Antonio Conte having signed his primary target Romelu Lukaku. Inter’s move for Dzeko is by no means dependent on Mauro Icardi, who the club are still trying to offload.
