Inter coach Antonio Conte has transformed the Nerazzurri in less than three months since his arrival, writes Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, with Conte guiding Inter to the top of the league table.

With 12 points after four games, the 50-year-old Italian has started the season strongly with his squad and a 2-0 victory in the derby against AC Milan helps the Nerazzurri and the coach replace the bitter taste in their mouth following a disappointing Champions League opener against Slavia Prague.

Conte’s tactical plan for the game, such as substituting on Matias Vecino for Stefano Sensi and Matteo Politano for Lautaro Martinez, confused Milan coach Marco Giampaolo who were unsure how to get themselves back in the game.

Despite heroics from Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Inter’s strong attacking force led by Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, and later Antonio Candreva and Matteo Politano, put too much pressure on the Rossoneri and exposed Giampaolo’s poor planning for the game.
