Inter forward Alexis Sanchez will make his first start for the Nerazzurri since his arrival from Manchester United against Sampdoria today, according to Milano based newspaper la Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 30-year-old Chilean made his last start in Serie A more than eight years ago in his final game with Udinese, before completing a high-profile move to Barcelona. He hasn’t scored in a league game since United’s meeting against Newcastle almost a year ago, although he will be keen to prove coach Antonio Conte today that he is a strong player.

Sanchez has only played 17 minutes for Inter since finalising his loan move, although in both appearances the player showed glimpses of his talents and abilities on the pitch. His ability to link up with Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez today will be key, as Conte’s men look to beat a sluggish Sampdoria to remain top of the league table, continuing their perfect start.
