Alessandro Bastoni is currently favoured to Diego Godin to start for Inter this weekend against Sassuolo according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
The young defender finds himself in this position due to the fact Godin has been one of the last to return from international duty and seemingly because Inter manager Antonio Conte intends to play Godin from the start against Borussia Dortmund next midweek in the Champions League.
As a result of Danilo D’Ambrosio breaking his toe and facing approximately two weeks out, Antonio Candreva will come back in to play at the right wing back slot in the 3-5-2 system.
Despite being back in full training following injury, Stefano Sensi will not start the match against his former employers and will be replaced in the starting XI by Roberto Gagliardini.
