Inter striker Romelu Lukaku spoke to Italian broadcaster InterTV in their post match coverage following the Nerazzurri’s 4-3 victory over Sassuolo today in the Serie A, where the 26-year-old Belgian scored twice.

“In the second half our team shouldn’t suffer like this, when Lautaro scored the fourth goal it must end like that. Tomorrow we’ll talk about it, we need to do better in these parts of the game. Our team must not lose its head in difficult times, we know, and I think that for Borussia Dortmund we will be ready, and we will have a good result.”

The former Manchester United forward touched on his growing relationship with fellow striker Lautaro Martinez.

“It’s going very well; we’ve been together since day one. We both speak Spanish, which has helped our relationship a lot.”

He described the work he’s been doing to start scoring again after the short goal drought.

“This week I’ve done everything with the staff to be at my best, I think I am and the best of me must come now.”

The 26-year-old Belgian also spoke of what the team still needs to do to improve.

“We need to improve everything, it’s important that our team plays better and better all the time.”

Finally, Lukaku spoke about his physical condition.

“I’m fine now, I’ve worked well over the week and I think the best of me is yet to come.”
