Alexis Sanchez returned to Inter training for the first time since his operation yesterday, according to a report in today’s paper edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean underwent surgery on his ankle after sustaining an injury during the most recent international break and spent some time in the gym although it will not be until after the new year until he returns to action.

Sanchez is just one of several players currently on Inter’s books dealing with injury problems. Central midfielder Stefano Sensi has missed Inter’s past three games through injury. He will miss tomorrow’s match with Brescia but Inter are hopeful he can be back involved against Bologna.

Danilo D’Ambrosio will miss tomorrow’s match and is also doubtful for Saturday’s clash with Bologna as he continues to battle back from a broken toe.

Matias Vecino will try be back for tomorrow but there is no guarantee that this will be possible for the Uruguayan whilst defender Andrea Ranocchia’s condition will be evaluated.

Stefan de Vrij and Kwadwo Asamoah will both however return to the squad and the starting line-up having missed out on Sunday’s match.
