Inter have made Rodrigo de Paul their priority ahead of the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Inter are looking to strengthen their midfield department and have had the Argentine international watched on several occasions in recent weeks, as recently as yesterday when Udinese played out a goalless draw with SPAL.

The Nerazzurri will also pay close attention to the versatile 25-year-old’s performances in Argentina’s friendlies with Brazil and Uruguay over the international break.

This season, the former Valencia player, has made 10 appearances across all competitions for the Bianconeri, in which he has contributed a single goal and two assists.

The report from the Roman news outlet goes on to state that de Paul was not the only player that Inter’s scouts took a look at at the Dacia Arena.

Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso and midfielder Rolando Mandragora and SPAL striker Andrea Petagna were also looked at.
