Inter have absolutely zero intention of allowing Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to return to the club as they are fully set on the idea of selling him according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri already have a deal in principle with Flamengo, where he is currently on loan, over a €20 million transfer plus bonuses.

The striker has been in simply sublime form since joining the Mengao back in the January transfer window and has entered himself into the history books by recently tying Brazilian legend Zico’s record of 21 goals in a single league campaign. With a few games still to go, the former Santos forward could well write new history.

Gabigol has found the back of the net on 39 occasions in 47 appearances for the club across all competitions and could well become a continental champion in the coming weeks with him helping the Rio de Janeiro club to the Copa Libertadores final.
