In an interview with broadcaster ESPN Deportes, Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has commented on Inter’s start to the season.

“I believe that with the arrival of Conte we are doing a great job and we are convinced that this is the right path. We will continue to work to be protagonists in all the competitions. Conte has great experience and work ethic. We know we have to improve a lot,” he said.

He was then asked about how he has found the transition from player to being in Inter’s management team in recent years.

“The truth is that I have always had a great work ethic, passion and a will to sacrifice. They are important values for having a career like mine.

“I played almost up to 41 years and now I’m vice-president. Inter is very important for me , it is my family, so I try to bring my experience as vice president to ensure that the club is a global player.

“In my career as a footballer I had some important offers. I feel part of Inter and for this reason I decided to play my whole career here and try to win important titles with this shirt. Still being involved with the club is of great importance to me.”
