Roma are understood to be interest in a possible swap deal with Inter in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have seemingly ignited an interest in signing Alessandro Florenzi from the Giallorossi and could offer Matteo Politano as part of a deal or even as a straight swap, an idea which the Roma leadership like.

Florenzi has fallen down the pecking order in the Italian capital under Paulo Fonseca and has been limited to just nine appearances across all competitions this season.

As per other reports in the media, Inter manager Antonio Conte is keen to be reunited with the 28-year-old, who he managed whilst in charge of the Italian national team a few years ago.

Former Sassuolo winger Matteo Politano, much like, Florenzi, is out of favour at the moment and has been limited to just two starts across all competitions this season for Inter.
