Inter are increasingly thinking about signing Genoa striker Andrea Pinamonti in the future, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri would be willing to exchange 26-year-old Italian striker Matteo Politano for the 20-year-old Rossoblu forward, considering the low amount of success Politano has had this season under coach Antonio Conte. Inter sent Pinamonti to Genoa on loan this summer with an obligation to buy attached, a decision fuelled by economics rather than tactics.

However, the Nerazzurri reserve the right to bring him back to Milan after one or two seasons thanks to an agreement with the Ligurian club. Conte reportedly likes the 20-year-old Italian and would have taken him along to the training camp in the summer if not for the deal’s completion, the report adds.

Pinamonti has only scored two goals in ten league appearances for the Rossoblu this season, the report highlights, but he may prove more important for Genoa now due to the injury to striker Christian Kouame. With Kouame being out for around six months, the Rossoblu may return to the market in order to find a new forward, with Politano one of the potential options, opening the door up for an exchange.
