Inter appear to have a deal in hand for Parma’s Matteo Darmian but manager Antonio Conte seemingly prefers other options according to a report in today’s print edition of Turin newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter worked in synergy with Parma to bring Darmian back to Italy this past Summer and it has been reported that Darmian would join Inter this coming Summer due to this deal but Kwadwo Asamoah’s continued injury problems have led to Inter considering bringing him in six months early.

Conte would prefer to sign Marcos Alonso though. The 29-year-old Spaniard is currently on the books of Chelsea, whose €35 million demands for him, represent a real stumbling block for the Nerazzurri.

Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam is an other option under consideration but Inter do have doubts relating to his fitness. Paris Saint Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa, whose contract expires at the end of the season, is another option the Nerazzurri are thinking about.
