The proposed exchange deal between Inter and Roma regarding Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola has fully collapsed, according to a report in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Libero.

The report details how the Giallorossi didn’t want to accept the Nerazzurri’s terms to change the loan deal into a definitive sale when the players have reached 15 appearances for at least 45 minutes each.

For Roma, an appearance is an appearance, whether it’s for 90 minutes or for 30 seconds.

Inter, who didn’t consider Spinazzola ready despite Dr Volpi’s confirmation, indicated that the buy option was the best solution in order to end Roma’s interest, the report suggests.

This was because they had turned to more viable players for the project, such as Ashley Young. Another option in this regard is Victor Moses, who the Nerazzurri are keen to sign at Conte’s request. The Milanese club have reached an agreement with Chelsea for a loan deal.
