Ahead of Inter’s match at home to Cagliari on Sunday afternoon, Inter legend Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi has shared what he is expecting to see from the match.

“I expect a good hard-fought match between the teams. It will be very different from the match they recently played in the Coppa Italia because Cagliari will not be playing with their reserves,” he explained in an interview with Sardinian newspaper Unione Sarda.

“I saw their match against Brescia and they have recovered after some not great results. The team played with their usual quality and it will not be easy for Inter.”

Bergomi also spoke on how Nicolo Barella has done at Inter since his Summer switch from Cagliari.

“What he has done has not surprised me. Everyone knew about the quality he had. At Inter he suffered at first but then he settled in and is doing great. I wish he was given a little more freedom because I think he could do even more that way.”
