Inter wing-back Antonio Candreva will sign a contract renewal with the Nerazzurri, extending his current deal to 2022, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 33-year-old Italian wing back will sign a one-season contract extension, pushing back the expiry date from June 2021 to June 2022.

The former Lazio man has been with the Nerazzurri since 2016 and is still a regular part of the squad, with coach Antonio Conte regularly deploying the Rome born midfielder.

Candreva has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2056 minutes. In that time, he has scored five goals and provided eight assists, perfectly slotting into Conte’s tactical system.

The 33-year-old Italian has made 142 appearances total for Inter since his arrival in the summer of 2016, and has scored 16 goals and provided 30 assists in that time, impressing most under the former Italy and Juventus coach.
