Inter manager Antonio Conte is expecting an immediate response from his team in the upcoming match with Hellas Verona according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Having watched his side throw away the lead and miss out on any points whatsoever this past weekend against Bologna, Conte wants to see the team react and the report adds that starting with Thursday’s match until the end of the season, including the Europa League, it will become clear who is deserving of remaining at Inter and who is not.

The Rome based news outlet go on to explain that Conte was not happy with Lautaro Martinez missing the penalty against Bologna but was even less happy with Romelu Lukaku, the designated penalty taker, for giving the penalty to the Argentine.

It also goes on to add has been a contradictory season for Inter. Inter have had their typical second half of the season drop off yet still find themselves 16 points ahead of fifth place and on the verge of Champions League qualification, something they have only achieved on the final day in each of the last two seasons.
