Cagliari coach Walter Zenga suggested that Inter owned midfielder Radja Nainggolan is indispensable to the squad when speaking to gathered reporters in a press conference yesterday with his statements reported by Italian media outlet PassioneInter.com.

“It would be difficult to lose him as I consider him a fundamental player to this team.”

Inter are still unsure what to do with Nainggolan, as the player’s value and high wages mean it is unlikely that Cagliari will be able to permanently sign the player this summer.

However, the Nerazzurri may decide to sell him elsewhere, give the Rossoblu a discount or integrate him back into the squad. Coach Antonio Conte never had a problem with the former Roma midfielder and could work with him.

The 32-year-old Belgian, who joined Inter two years ago from Roma, has impressed this season whilst on loan with the Rossoblu. Nainggolan has made 28 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2249 minutes. In that time, he has scored six goals and provided seven assists.
