Inter strikers Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez all have reasons to seek redemption in the Europa League according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Lukaku and Sanchez both want to go all the way and win the trophy to exact revenge on Manchester United, who who cast them aside and moved them on in the Summer of 2019. The duo could in fact even come up against the Premier League club in the final.
As for Lautaro, the 22-year-old Argentine’s performance levels have decreased amid intense media speculation linking him with moves away from the club and he has extra motivation to silence his doubters and rumours, just like he did with his goal celebration in the recent win over Napoli.
Inter are back in Europa League action tonight with them facing Getafe in a one-legged affair, the winner of which will face either Rangers or Bayer Leverkusen in the next round.
