Inter will begin talks to tie Lautaro Martinez and Stefan de Vrij down to new deals after the transfer window shuts on Monday, according to the print edition of Tuttosport.

Lautaro’s agents will demand a significant increase in wages from the Nerazzurri after failing to take the striker to Barcelona this summer.

Both players have three years left on their current contracts but could be tempted by big money offers next year, should they not renew with the Nerazzurri.

De Vrij is expected to return to the starting XI for tonight’s Serie A match away at Benevento, while Lautaro is rested for Sunday’s match against Lazio.

Inter have five days left to complete the sales of Matias Vecino and Radja Nainggolan to Napoli and Cagliari respectively, before making a late bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Ngolo Kante.

Vecino, who would cost Inter €9 million to keep this year, is sidelined through injury until at least November and Inter are only prepared to let him leave on a permanent deal.

Chelsea would want €50 million to sell Kante but Tuttosport said anything could happen in the final few days of the window.
