Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has scored Inter’s quickest goal in the history of sports data and analysis company Opta.

Belgian national team representative Lukaku scored just 28 seconds into Inter’s eventual 5-2 rout of newly promoted Benevento at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito on Wednesday evening.

This was Inter’s quickest goal since Opta started collecting such data back in the 2004/05 season.

Lukaku, who is Inter’s most expensive ever player, has scored three goals in two appearances across all competitions to date this term.
