Inter Milan are hurrying to sign Brazil and Atheltico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento sooner rather than later.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, report that there will be an internal meeting regarding the Nerazzurri’s move to sign the 24-year-old next week.

Goal is a position in which Inter have decided to make a signing this summer.

Currently, Yann Sommer is the clear Number One between the posts for Inter.

The Swiss international veteran joined the Nerazzurri from Bayern Munich last summer.

Meanwhile, Emil Audero is Sommer’s deputy. The 27-year-old arrived from Sampdoria on loan last summer.

Inter have a purchase option to sign Audero on a permanent basis.

The Nerazzurri can pay Sampdoria 7 million to sign the Italian this summer.

However, Inter do not see Audero as an option for the starting role in the future. Therefore, they consider that amount to be too high to pay to sign the former Juventus keeper on a permanent basis.

Inter Milan In A Hurry To Sign Bento

According to Tuttosport, Inter are ready to go all-in to target Bento.

The Brazilian has been a player on the Nerazzurri’s radar for at least a year. They have no doubt that he would be capable of taking over the starting spot in goal for years to come.

Therefore, Inter feel that now would be the right time to invest in the hopes of starting out a key part of the team for the future.

Bento will not come cheap. Paranaense will want no less than 20 million for the Brazilian’s signature in light of the fact that he is now a full Brazilian international.

But Inter are confident they can get a deal done.

Even with competition from the Premier League, Bento’s preference remains to join Inter.

Inter will meet early in May to discuss their plan to try and sign Bento. They want to do so as quickly as possible.

In a sense, there is already 7 million ready to form part of an offer for the 24-year-old – the money that would otherwise have been allocated towards making Audero’s loan deal permanent.
