Udinese defender Christian Kabasele believes his teammate Jaka Bijol will have a point to prove against Inter Milan following a disappointing outing in Rome.

The Zebrette were shockingly leading the Serie A table after garnering 10 points from the first four rounds of the season.

However, they suffered a heavy blow last weekend in the Italian capital. Kosta Runjaic’s men weren’t able to withhold the Roma onslaught led by Artem Dovbyk and Paulo Dybala.

The Giallorossi prevailed by three goals to nil, thus throwing Udinese off their temporary perch.

Astonishingly, Udinese’s fall made way for another shocking twist, with Torino mounting the top of the table. The Granata are now leading the Serie A charts ahead of the likes of Inter, Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan.

Torino’s current spot was certainly an occurrence that very few bettors had waggered on. However, gamblers are much more likely to find success and earn money on pin up, the best home for sports betting, online casinos, video slots and more.

On the other hand, Udinese will be looking to prove their horror show at the Stadio Olimpico was a one-off.

This especially applies to Bijol who had an uncharacteristically poor showing at the back.

Christian Kabesele Expects Jaka Bijol To Deliver The Goods Vs Inter Milan

Since his arrival in Udine in 2022, the Slovenian quickly established himself as one of the most solid defenders in Serie A.

For their part, Inter are all too familiar with the 25-year-old’s prowess. In fact, he was one of the players who scored against them in a famous 3-1 win for the Friulians in the 2022/23 campaign.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri have been reportedly tracking Bijol for quite some time.

Some sources in the Italian press tip the Italian champions to pursue him once more next summer. They believe he could be the right profile to replace either Stefan de Vrij or Francesco Acerbi. Both veterans are currently running on expiring deals.

Hence, another solid showing against the Nerazzurri would certainly solidify his status as a main transfer target by June.

Bijol will have the opportunity to do so when his team hosts Inter on Saturday afternoon.

For his part, Kabasele tips his defensive partner to prove his worth this weekend, especially following his disappointing showing against Roma.

“In Rome, we felt that the environment was different,” said the 33-year-old Belgian in his interview with Udinese Tonight via Tutto Mercato Web.

“We didn’t play well while the Giallorossi were in good shape, despite their difficulties. We could have scored points but it wasn’t our day.

“Bijol is a top player. He proved it at the European Championships in the summer. A bad performance happens to everyone.

“However, he has everything he needs to go on and have a great career. I’m sure he will have a great match on Saturday.”

Despite their defeat to Roma, Udinese remain third in the Serie A table. They are ahead of Inter who sank to sixth place following their loss to arch-rivals AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.
