Walter Mazzarri talked to Mediaset after the victory against Sampdoria:

“I saw great progress in our game play. We are in an emergency since there are seven starters missing and the guys still managed to play great football against the most in form team of the league. Just as Cesena hadn’t lost at home, Sampdoria hadn’t lost any game in the league and we created a lot of chances against both of them. It’s true that we didn’t perform at the maximum of our potential, but that’s understandable seeing our situation. The penalty was the rightful award, the team deserved to win a lot. We just let them have two or three chances whilst we had at least nine, we couldn’t really do better and we are all happy over winning the game.”

Mazzarri continued:
“The atmosphere at San Siro? It’s all great, I haven’t had problems. Who knows me says that during the game I only think about the match but both tonight and against Napoli I felt a great atmosphere. The players expressed themselves well, together with their supporters, those who wants Inters best and we won. In this moment we just need to become more concrete with the chances we create, today I saw a great game being played from our players. I feel good with the players, they follow me and they proved that whilst playing very well. Hernanes? The doctor said we did great to sub him quickly. We will value his conditions.”
