In an interview to RAI Sport, Inter coach, Stefano Pioli commentated on the defeat against Napoli: “I do not fear repercussions after the defeat, but it is a matter of overcoming a delicate moment. Our approach towards this game was the right one, but we lacked some killer instinct in order to equalis this game. About the banners from the Curva, I understand them, but we are doing everything we can to do better. Anyway, the championship isn’t finished, we have our potential and we want to get back on the winning path. I don’t agree that that the players were distracted, something was missing in the last games, maybe because we had to say goodbye to the UCL. Tonight, we played against one of the top teams, when we were in difficult moment. And I saw some improvements on a mental level. We have to get back to start a game well, finish is the same and play well in between. Tonight we weren’t at our best but that’s because we were playing against a strong team and that makes it hard to face them on a tactical level. We’re in a difficult moment right now, also from a management level. We have changed three coaches, the management. But I think we have a good base to restart from. Zhang’s visit was positive, but I won’t meet with him because he’s going back to China now. We will have the time to meet and discuss and analyse this season and our issues”.
