The Italian football federation (FIGC) have announced the dates of the next two transfer window at this afternoon’s Federal Council meeting.

The traditional Summer transfer window, which would run from July 1 to the end of August, will be scrapped due to the fact teams will be playing games throughout this period.

The transfer window will commence on September 1 and will run until October 5. The January transfer market will not begin on January 1 as per usual but rather January 4. It will however still end on January 31.

It remains to be seen whether this date would be changed in the event that the season that is due to resume shortly was forced to end prematurely.

The 2019/20 Serie A season was put on hold back in March due to the Coronavirus crisis but is scheduled to recommence on June 20. Inter have 13 league games left to play and have an outside chance of clinching the title.
