After shooting England out of the Euro2012, Alessandro Diamanti has gotten recognition around Italy. The Bologna-trequartista has made a couple of strong subsitutions for Italy during the tournament and he is now expected to leave Bologna to play at a bigger club. Gianluca Nani, president of Serie B-club Brescia, the club Diamanti played for during a few years, commented on his former striker.

“All due respect towards Bologna, but Diamanti deserves to play at a Italian topclub, Inter, AC Milan or Juventus. He is very good with the ball and can easily draw a defence to pieces.”

Fcinternews.it also confirms today that Inter has shown interest for Diamanti before. In 2009 he was an option, but instead Inter decided to buy Wesley Sneijder from Real Madrid for 14 million euros and therefore no Diamanti. Then again, now he seems to be back on the table. Let’s wait and see.
