Sneijder: “I can’t talk about Inter”

Two weeks of reflections. Wesley Sneijder and Inter could already in January go separate ways after two and a half intensive years with lots of emotions. During the day, Inter’s technical director Marco Branca revealed that the Dutchman had been offered an extension, but with lower figures than those he earn today. Something that is in line with the club’s new project.

Sneijder is reflecting, meanwhile his father stated that he is happy that Inter made the situation official. Wes was contacted by the newspaper Telegraaf to analyze and clarify the situation but he replied: “I can’t talk about Inter.” According to the Dutch newspaper, Inter’s number 10 has been offered a renewal of his contract worth 4.5 million euros per year with an extension, which is about 1.5 million euros less than what he earns at the moment. Something that for Inter means a saving of 9 million euros considering that the current contract expires in 2015.

“The separation in January seems inevitable and best for everyone,” writes Telegraaf. While Sneijder is considering the offer, there isn’t a shortage of requests. The rumors about Anzhi, despite their denials, seems to still be alive. Then there’s always Sir Alex Ferguson who for some time has been courting the midfielder. The story will continue, but the risk of Sneijder leaving Inter seems to be big. In Holland, they are sure of it.
