No, it’s not a joke. Gianluca Rocchi of Florence will take charge of Inter v Hellas Verona in the last 16 of the 2012/13 Coppa Italia, tomorrow Tuesday 18 December at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (kick-off 21:00). Rocchi will have La Rocca and Iannello as his assistants, with Ostinelli as fourth official. For you who don’t remember, we have listed all the pretty decisions Rocchi has made against Inter and there’s a video as well:

Lazio-Inter 2006/2007: Zlatan Ibrahimovic receives his second yellow card when he shoots the ball on volley. According to Rocchi Ibra shot the ball after his whistle had gone, but as you can see in the video Ibra shoots the ball exactly at the time Rocchi blows his whistle.
Genoa-Inter 2007/2008: Pele receives two yellow cards in 6 minutes. The first one does not even hit Rossi and on the second tackle he takes the ball before bringing the Genoa player down…
Catania-Inter 2008/2009: Muntari enters harshly and expects a yellow, the look on his face when Rocchi gives him the red card says it all..
Inter-Milan 2009/2010: Lucio avoids a slide tackle from Ambrosini who doesn’t hit him, it looks like a dive but Lucio is determined to continue his run, he’s stopped by the whistle of Rocchi who gives him a yellow card for a dive. This makes Wesley Sneijder applaud the decision ironically which makes Rocchi give the dutch a straight red card. At the end of the game Milan receive a penalty when Huntelaars effort hits the hand of Lucio from the distance of 0.5 metres. Lucio gets a second yellow and Milan gets a penalty.
Brescia-Inter 2010/2011: Cordoba brings Caracciolo down and gets a red card for a goal scoring opportunity foul. Somehow Brescia get a penalty as well when the foul was commited outside the box.
Inter-Napoli 2011/2012: Obi gets a horrible yellow card for a tackle that’s the clearest one on ball I’ve seen in my life. Later on Obi gets a red card for pushing Maggio who looses his balance and falls in to the box. Rocchi gives Obi his second booking and Maggio the penalty. Once again the foul was about 1.5 metres outside the box. Moratti goes crazy after the game.

This ladies and gentleman is Gianluca Rocchi. He’ll be the referee in the game tomorrow against Verona. He’ll not be welcomed nicely, and the list above is the reason why he shouldn’t be. Rocchi uomo di merda.
