Alvarez: “I hope for a year without injuries”

Between rumors of farewell and the desire to relaunch. In an interview with the Serie A TIM, Ricardo Alvarez talked about 2013 which he hopes will be his year in Inter shirt: “I hope for a year without injuries because they have prevented me from expressing myself as I would like in Italy.” The recent year, however, contained highlights that gave him satisfaction: “Clearly the two derbies I’ve played. It was a dream come true for me to win both. There is nothing more beautiful than the stadium during the derby days, when it is full. Going out on the football field as a starting player and winning both matches was a wonderful thing. The Milan derby attracts attention around the world, including in Argentina, and to win such a game was incredible.”

Finally Alvarez talked about the move he prefers: “In Argentina, it is very common with Futsal and it makes you carry the ball with the sole of the foot more often. This is something we are used to, I think it’s one of my characteristics.”
