Stramaccioni: “Against Roma we will field the best team”

Andrea Stramaccioni spoke to Inter Channel ahead of tomorrow nights semifinal clash against AS Roma in the TIM Coppa Italia: “Since the beginning of the season we have stated that this competition is very important for us. Now we have come this far and we would like to honour this semifinal and tomorrow an Inter will go out on the pitch who wants to win and who will fight to do so. I’m looking to field the strongest team possible, this is absolutely not a fixture where we will rotate the squad. I think that Roma will field 8 players out of the 11 that started on Sunday. I expect to see an open match, like the one in the Serie A, because against this Roma, from a tactical point of view, the fixtures are always open. We demonstrated on Sunday that we want to play football and we will again, even if we are a bit weakened up front.”
Finally a few words on the return of Ricky Alvarez: “I wanted him to be here because he has been training with the group for 2 days now. Tomorrow I will evaluate whether to play him or not but either way he will definately start on the bench.”
