President of Montpellier: “I accepted a bid from Inter of 14 million euros for Belhanda”

Inter are close to Younès Belhanda. There has been talk of negotiations and now Montpellier president Louis Nicollin reveals further details in an interview with the Turkish newspaper AMK. “Regarding the negotiations with Fenerbahçe there is no development of any kind. But I can confirm that I, on Thursday, received a bid from Inter for 14 million euros. Well, I accepted the offer. The club that deserves Belhanda is Inter because Fenerbahçe only offered 8 million, which is not a price that is adequate for Belhanda.”

Perhaps, the turning point has finally come for Inter on the transfer market, unless it is a tactical move by the president of the French club to shake Fenerbahçe. Nicollin is notorious for his statements, and is adept at handling the media and his approach was the same in connection with Yanga-Mbiwa’s move to Newcastle. This time, when it comes Belhanda, developments are expected to become more concrete in the coming hours. Currently, there has not been any sort of confirmation from the club and the feeling is that this was just a bold statement in response to Inter’s strong interest in the player.
