Kovacic Inter

The Croatian talent Kovacic presented himself with a roar today at Appiano Gentile. He doesn’t say much, but what he says carries weight and here’s the full presentation:

How does it feel to arrive at a club like Inter this early?

“I’m very happy and it’s an honor to arrive at Inter so early.”

You’ve been compared to a lot of players like for example Boban and Prosinecki. Who’re you most alike according to yourself?

“Prosinecki is my favorite player. But to be honest I prefer to talk about myself and inspire myself from me.”

Wearing the number 10 of Inter is a huge responsibility. Are you ready for your debut at the San Siro?

“I’m honor for the shirt, but I’m the one who’s going to play not the shirt. I’m ready for San Siro.”

You’re very young, what was your first thought when you got to know that you were going to Inter?

“I didn’t think of anything particular, I was a bit schocked and I’ve not yet realized that I’m here.”

Our colleagues on Fcinternews ask if he’d like to see more croatian talents as Halilovic at Inter and if he’s impressed with the talents that are allready in the club

“I’d be very happy to see more croatians in the club and I’m happy that there are other talents like him here. I’d be very happy if talents like Halilovic or others could come here.”

In what role do you prefer to play? Offensively or more on the central midfield?

“I feel well on both positions, but it’s up to the coach to decide.”

Did you know anyone in the italian football before arriving and are you happy to be a part of it?

“I’ve always liked the italian football a lot. I have many teammates that are from the Balkan like Stankovic, Kuzmanovic and Handanovic. I know the Italian football is hard, but I’ll settle.”

Do you prefer to play behind one striker or two strikers?

“It’s the coach who’ll decide, to me it doesn’t matter.”

Tell us about your main characteristics

“I love tactics and I really think I could give the team a lot as a midfielder.”

What’ll take the longest time, take the team in your own hands or learn italian?

“Surely learning Italian. It’s a splendid language that I’ll learn very fast.”

Our colleagues on Fcinternews then ask what he thinks about his debut against Siena?

“We played bad against Siena, but we’ll come back straight away. We’re allready ready.”
